Next Union Meeting:

The next Union Meeting will be a Notified meeting, Friday, December 8th, held at 5:30pm, in the Meeting Hall, at 2300 East River Road.  This meeting will be notified to discuss the upcoming contract negotiations, the swear-in of the 1st year apprentices and the Christmas Buffet.

Training dates:

The JATC will be offering the following courses:  OSHA 10 Course which will be held at the JATC on Monday, November 27th, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 2nd, 7:30 am to 2:30 pm.  Must attend both days. Code of Excellence Course which will be held at the JATC on Tuesday, November 28th at 4:30 pm.  Please contact the JATC at (585) 235-5050 to sign up if you are interested.

Masters License Preparation Class:

The JATC is holding a Masters License Preparation class at the JATC three nights in December and three nights in January.  Paperwork must be submitted to the City of Rochester by November 17th, 2017.  Please contact the JATC with any questions.

2018 International Dues Increase:

The Delegates of the 39th I.B.E.W. International Convention, which was conducted in St. Louis, Missouri during the week of September 19th through September 23rd, 2016, approved several amendments to Article IX of the I.B.E.W. Constitution. Accordingly, effective January 1, 2018, there will be an increase of one dollar ($1.00) for the I.B.E.W. per capita, which applies to all members.  This will increase your 2018 Dues to $42.50 monthly or $127.50 quarterly or $510.00 yearly.  For more information contact us at (585) 235-1510.

Vacation Freeze:

The vacation fund will be frozen on December 29th, 2017 for year-end close-out check processing.  As a result, the last day to withdraw your vacation funds this year will be Thursday, December 28th, no exceptions.  As a reminder, vacation withdrawals must be requested with 24-hour notice.  Your check will be available for pick up at noon of the following day.  Any withdrawal requests must be made by the member and signed for by the member.

2018 WGA:

The WGA will be held in Syracuse next year, the 3rd week of August.  Anyone interested in playing contact Greg Post or Dan O’Mealia.  All entries must be in by January 1st, 2018.

All re-signs are once a month, from the 10th through the 16th of each calendar month.  Re-sign can be done by email, fax and mail or in person on those days.  You do not get a reply email back ~ Please print the page.  Web Referral is available at ibewlu86.org. NEBF Pension:

Please call the Union Office a full six months before you reach age 62 to set up an appointment to start processing your pension application (585) 235-1510.

Kodak & Xerox Training:

Xerox Training – Is held at Bldg. 335 at 7:30 am on Mondays.

Kodak Training – Is only done online.  The link is available on our website ibewlu86.org/links.
